About Me
As a tutor in high school, I discovered my love for helping people learn and passing on what I was learning myself. My years in college and graduate school cemented that love. As a teacher now, I want to enable my students to share their own souls through music: to understand it, master it, and use it to create joy. The moment a concept clicks, or the student notices their own improvement, or they beam with satisfaction after an excellent performance — there’s so much happiness in watching my students grow.
When I’m not teaching or playing music, I can often be found reading, gardening, decorating, writing with fountain pens on fancy paper, or enjoying colorful Colorado with my husband and our dogs on a jog, hike, or ski run. Well, the dogs prefer snowboarding.
